Funky Shades!

Paris fashion week was all about the sunglasses. I spotted some super funky ones, with all different shapes and colors. There was also a lot of blue tinted shades which looked really cool with the fun outfits. I totally love sunglasses they can really make an outfit, but personally I like to stick with the ones you can actually see through, instead of grates or lace covering the window of visibility. I mean Gaga performs on stage with them, how does she see??? Rock your sunglasses people but keep them for outside use only. Thanks.

LOVE these Chanel embroidered glasses and they are available in some cool colors.

Check out these fun love bug sunglasses from Diesel, with the blue tint trend.

Colorful ones are always fun, I have pink and blue but I do love these yellow ones from Topshop

And finally a very funky (although you might not be able to see) pair of Halfords from Al-Morir

What kind of sunglasses do you like??

Pin that hair on me

Lesson to all... Don't get your hair cut in foreign countries.

So I went to the hairdresser the other day and whilst engrossed in the latest issue of Cosmo she somehow managed to hack my hair into the shortest layers. You ask how did this happen when all I asked for was a mere inch off the ends? That my friends I do not have an answer to. She knew my hair was curly as I went in with it like that, yet she wet cut layers so short in the back that when it curled it was like a bunch of those annoying baby hairs sticking up! I'm just going to come out and admit that I cried. Yep, for hours I yelled at the mirror, threw shit around the room and stomped my feet like a brat.

The worst part is I tortured myself by going through Pinterest hair photos after, wishing for a head of hair I will never have. Sigh..... Why does my wavy hair never look this fabulous?! I have tried all the looks and followed all the directions yet it never turns out like this. I suppose I should just suck it up and be bloody grateful that I have hair! if anyone knows how to realistically achieve this look when your hair is already wavy/curly please let me know!!

All about Red!

Red has always been a color that I have been unsure about wearing. Since I am blonde you would think it would suit me, but a lot has to do with your skin tone. I am a bit of a mix between cool and warm tone, with a medium contrast, so red can often reflect off my skin and make my skin look red tinged or blotchy. Therefore, I try to either pick a very bright (almost neon like red) or just have a pop of red using either shoes or a bag.

How do you guys feel about red?

Rock the Spring trends

Spring/Summer 2013 has some awesome new(well repeated) trends blossoming in the store windows. I personally like a lot of the S/S hits, including lace, A line, the modern edgy floral and the monochrome revamp. The problem is so many of these looks are way too feminine for an edgy girl like me, so I have to add a bit of hardness to them. This is actually done pretty easily. Here are some examples..

Sweet and Soft is really in ie: pastels, floaty fabrics, and feminine cuts. Now, I could never pull this off myself, if you asked my partner if I was graceful and feminine he would probably laugh in your face. The thing is, I want to be able to wear it so here's what I would do...

Take a flowy feminine shirts like this CK piece and add a denim jacket, fun jeans and boots

For the Lace Look, harden up the material with a boxy biker jacket and stand out shoes.
Don't be afraid to mix different shades of the same color

What do you guys think of the feminine Spring trends?

The Oscars 2013

The Oscars 2013. Best and worst dressed...

So I am currently watching the Oscars right now and man is it long! I don't really have time for this, although I can't seem to pull myself away, plus Jennifer and Argo just won an award! I always find the "in memory" part so sad, and cry like a baby over people I don't know (I know pathetic right).

Onto the dresses! Well as we all know white is very in for S/S13 so clearly the actresses stylists thought that they all needed to look like they were getting married (or remarried). Secondly I am so so not into the tiny boob cups and missing fabric from the top half of the chest. What is with that? It looks so bad, like a bad strapless bra that won't stay up!

Here's some of the best...

I didn't mind the white theme on some, and actually loved Zoe Saldana's Alexis Mabille dress. It was kind of quirky and very detailed.

And Georgina Chapman looked stunning in white, almost ready to pop, in what I am assuming is Marchesa (she is the co-founder). Her dress was beautiful and she was glowing.

I also love Sandra Bullocks, lacey and 20's inspired Elie Saab dress. She looks really delicate and classy.

A few others to give some credit too were, Adele in Jenny Packham, Salma Hayek in McQueen. I loved Kelly Osbourne's Tony Ward dress as it did look like a beautiful night sky, but she didn't make it to my list due to the lacklustre hair and the tats, it just didn't work. Jane Fonda looked fab in her yellow Versace, and Hugh Jackman was my fav best man, in his Tom Ford suit, super sexy. Lastly, I had to throw in my absolute favorite actress ever, as she looked so elegant yet modern at the same time.. Meryl Streep I love you and you look fabulous in your metallic gown.

Here's some of the worst.....
Fails.... Anne Hathaway why oh why. A. Your hair style is so wrong B. Your dress is sooo shiny C. Just because its Prada does not mean its fabulous.

Kerry Washington in Miu Miu... Color= wrong, Cut=wrong and Hair=so wrong....

Olivia Munn in Marchesa. I usually love Marchesa but I am pretty sure my mum had curtains like this when I was younger and why is it so low on her chest??? I don't get it, She doesn't even have a big chest!!

There is my low down peeps, who were your best and worst?!

Stripes and Studs

So I have owned this striped, cropped jacket from Bershka for a good few months now but totally forgot about it! Today I had several meetings, and went to a press conference so needed something smart but funky (of course). I thought what would be better that a cool, cropped jacket, thats when I found this baby lurking in my wardrobe. I got super excited and threw it on with my rocking studded booties and my new necklace. Win?

Shoes- Zara, Jacket-Bershka, Necklace-Henri Bendel, Bag-Kate Spade, Tee-Zara

This was my casual pub weekend outfit! Black, red and #hitops <3 Sometimes I just like to be super comfortable, have a pint and watch a footie game!

And lastly if you guys didn't catch this from my closet page... here is my BRIGHT red pants and vintage floral shirt combo!
